In just three weeks, we’ll be witnessing the E3 2018 press-conferences. Microsoft might just have some aces up their sleeves to steal the show like they did announce the backward compatibility.
We all want some new IPs for the Xbox and Windows 10 platforms! We already know that investing in a new Ip is something Microsoft has been looking into (seriously) for a while now.
While the company has partnered with studios like Insomniac and Armature to deliver some new IP in the last few years, such as Sunset Overdrive, Quantum Break, ReCore, and Ryse: Son of Rome, Microsoft’s own internal in house efforts have continued to focus on Halo, Gears of War, and Forzaprimarily. Having tentpole franchises to rely on is always great- but Microsoft needs to broaden the palette of its offerings, so that it offers more to its fans than just what they are used to.
We all want a new Forza, Halo or Gears of War games, don’t we? If you’re interested in one of the above, you might be in for a wild rollercoaster of a ride at this year’s E3 conference. There are some rumors that the Forza Horizon 4 is in the works and due to be released later this year. Halo 6 might just be the surprise alongside Gears of War 5.
New Fable game might be on the ‘Forza’ Horizon, as well as the announcements of the remastered versions of the Age of Empires games that the fans of RTS genre are waiting for!
There’s no doubt that Phil Spencer will deliver something unique this year as well. The myth, the legend, Phil Spencer! He confirmed that the Xbox team is working and focusing to improve the already awesome Xbox Online service. What is really in store for us for this year and the years to come from Microsoft, we’ll have to wait and see! But one thing is for sure, we won’t be seeing new Xbox versions this year, at least.
